Strategic Issues in Chinese State Owned Hotels (SOH)
About the Project
The research intends to identify the current strategic issues faced by SOHs and discuss their implications on strategic management practices. An in-depth literature review and content analysis was conducted from both published literature in Chinese and English. The content analysis was conducted with Nvivo 9 to identify key issues including oversupply, competition from international hotel companies, government interference, organizational structures, leadership styles, marketing strategies, operational management, service and standards, and corporate governance.
